“1st day in Istanbul: Grand Bazaar” by Tyrian (6/15/15)
The first market place we go to is the Grand Bazaar, and lo and behold, I find the chessboard for this portion of the trip! That was easy. It also had other things (not that the chessboard wasn’t the best I found) including watches, rugs, jewelry (lots of it) and lights. My original thought as we walked in was how empty it was. It wasn’t empty at all, but there was more space than I imagined it to have. I didn’t expect much before I walked in, but seeing everything that would normally be in multiple stores, all in one place was something new.
